<![CDATA[[New Feature] Attach Multiple Products To One Page]]> [New Feature] Attach Multiple Products To One Page

Today we released an update which allows you to attach multiple products to your product pages. This is useful if you have a number of related products but you don't want to create a separate page for each product. Some examples could be:

 • products of different sizes
 • boxes of different amounts
 • any other variation of your products

When you have multiple products attached to a page, you will see separate "Buy Now" and "Add to Cart" buttons for each product:

Please note here is NO LONGER a price box on the page editor. Instead you need to use the "edit" links on the attached products. You'll see these when you're logged in:

The step by step process to add a new product is:

 1. Create the product page. Make sure you set the type to 'Product Page'.
 2. Click the 'Attach New Product' link.
 3. Complete the product form.
 4. Press Save

If you have any questions about this new feature, please feel free to contact us.

<![CDATA[July Special: Mobile Website Design]]> July Special: Mobile Website Design

With mobile visitors now accounting for over half of your traffic it is pretty important that they can actually read your website. Unfortunately, most phones show your website in teeny-tiny font unless you build a separate design especially for mobile visitors.

This is how the web version of news.com.au looks on my phone:

<![CDATA[Unscheduled Network Outage [Resolved]]]> Unscheduled Network Outage [Resolved]

Today there was an unscheduled network outage at our data center which caused interruptions to some of our services. The problem was caused by a faulty network component which started dropping connections to our server. It has been resolved and all services are now running normally.

This is the first problem we've had with our network provider in over 5 years, and they worked rapidly to identify and replace the faulty hardware.

In cases of service outage you can still get updates from us by following our Facebook page or checking our twitter feed @GetSunburnt.

We have also procured a new server on a different network. This machine has twice the processing power, four times the memory and more network bandwidth than our main server. We will be moving our services to the new server in the coming weeks.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience.

<![CDATA[How To Add Attachments To A Page]]> How To Add Attachments To A Page

It's best to post all your content on your website as pages or articles, but sometimes these web formats can be a bit limiting - especially if you want complex layouts. That's when PDF is great because it always looks exactly how you expect. The good news is you can easily attach and link PDF files (and another other type of files) in your pages.

Here is a step by step guide to uploading attachments to your website.

1. Edit the page where you want to add the attachment and click the "Insert Link" button on the toolbar:

2. Select the Upload tab and click the Choose File button:

3. Select the attachment from your computer and press okay:

4. Click "Send To Server" and wait for the file to be uploaded:

5. Press okay:

6. The link will appear in your document:

7. You can change the link text using normal editing functions:

That's all there is to it. Save the publication and you're done.

If you prefer, you can also enter the link text first, highlight it and then click the "Insert Link" button (step 1). That way you won't have to change the link text in step 7.

Let us know if you get stuck.

<![CDATA[Your Twitter Feed On Your Website]]> Your Twitter Feed On Your Website

Recently Twitter made some changes to their platform which made it more difficult for people to share their twitter feeds on their website (we presume this was done in the name of privacy and security). The side-effect is that if you were using our Twitter feed widget on your website you might notice that your tweets are no longer displayed.

Fortunately, we can create a new Twitter widget for your website if you like. Here is an example from Dr Moore's new website - a recent addition to the Sunburnt family.

Or our own feed, which has a different style to Dr Moore's:

If you'd like to add or upgrade the Twitter feed on your website just let us know by replying to this email. As the widget now has to be installed and configured manually there is a small AU$15 charge. We can also help you out with Facebook widgets and integrating your other social networks.

Just let us know.

<![CDATA[Celebrating 500 Days Uptime]]> Celebrating 500 Days Uptime

Happy Easter to all! This Easter we are happy to report that our Internet Marketing Platform has reached 500 days of consecutive uptime. That's right - our main server has been slaving away in a busy data center, serving you and your customers for over 500 days without a break. That's why I love technology.

Over the last few years we've been working hard to improve the reliability and response times of our platform and although the work has paid off already we continue to add more monitors, tests and checks for our software and hardware to ensure that our service is available when you need it the most.

So we hope you had a nice Easter break. If you missed the holiday, don't feel bad. Our software was working the whole weekend too.

<![CDATA[New Backup Services]]> New Backup Services

Sunburnt Internet Marketing is happy to announce that we have recently upgraded our backup server to a more stable and secure network. You'll be glad to know our platform backs up your data on a daily basis so that in the unlikely situation that our network spontaneously explodes your account is safe and can be restored rapidly.

Still, you can never have too many backups. That's why we're also offering a DVD backup service that puts all your account data directly in YOUR hands.

When you order a backup DVD we export all your account data in a platform-agnostic way so that you won't be tied to any particular software if our service fails for you. The backup DVD includes:

 • A static browsable export of your website
 • All your contact lists and contacts
 • All your online store transactions

The total cost is just $49 including exporting all your data, burning it to DVD and sending it through the post to anywhere in Australia (contact us for postage outside Australia).

If you'd like a backup DVD of your account just send us an email and we'll get onto it straight away.
